Powering On
Simply plug in the included USB cable. DeskOrbie will power on automatically.
Entering Setup Mode
- DeskOrbie automatically enters setup mode when no Wi-Fi credentials are saved.
- If DeskOrbie cannot connect during startup, it may return to setup mode after the connection timeout.
- If setup Wi-Fi credentials fail, DeskOrbie shows an error and returns to setup mode so you can try again.
- You can also enter setup mode with a factory reset. See "Factory Reset" below.
Factory Reset
To factory reset your DeskOrbie with the button, follow these simple steps:
- Power off DeskOrbie by unplugging the included cable.
- Power DeskOrbie back on by plugging the cable back in.
- As soon as the DeskOrbie logo appears, press and hold the left button for 2-3 seconds.
- Release to factory reset and enter setup mode again.
You can also factory reset from DeskOrbie Settings. See the Settings section below for reset tools in DeskOrbie Settings.

Wi-Fi
Update the network DeskOrbie should join.
- DeskOrbie and the device opening Settings must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
- The card shows the current network. Use Change Wi-Fi only when you want DeskOrbie to connect somewhere else.
- Use Refresh List to load nearby networks, then pick your network from the list.
- Use Other only for hidden networks, then enter the Wi-Fi name manually.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password, use Show password if needed, then click Save Wi-Fi. Leave the password blank only for an open Wi-Fi network.
Time
Choose the timezone DeskOrbie should use.
- The timezone controls the clock shown on DeskOrbie.
- It also controls the timing of scheduled features like calendar reminders, wellness reminders, night mode, and update checks.
- Timezone changes save automatically.
Weather
Set the location and units for DeskOrbie weather.
- Enter the City, State Code, and Country Code. In the U.S., city plus state and country usually works best.
- Choose Fahrenheit or Celsius under Weather Units.
- Click Save Weather after changing the weather location or units.
- If no weather location is set, DeskOrbie will ask you to add one in Settings when you open weather.
Calendar
Add a public calendar link for event reminders.
- Enter a public ICS calendar link from Google, Outlook, or iCloud in Calendar URL. Use a link that starts with https:// or webcal://, or leave it blank.
- Use Notify minutes before an event to choose how many minutes before an event DeskOrbie should remind you.
- Click Save Calendar after changing the calendar URL or reminder time.

Display
Adjust the way DeskOrbie looks during the day and at night.
- Dynamic Night Mode turns DeskOrbie red first, then dims further during the schedule you choose.
- Use the schedule sliders to choose when dimming starts and ends.
- Reduce blue light two hours before dim time turns the clock red before the dim period starts.
- Use 24-hour time toggles between 12-hour and 24-hour time.
- Primary Color and Secondary Color control the clock color preview and colors used throughout DeskOrbie.
- Display changes save automatically.
Wellness
Choose how often DeskOrbie reminds you to take breaks.
- Use Wellness reminders per hour to choose 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 reminders per hour.
- Choosing 0 turns wellness reminders off.
- Reminder changes save automatically.
Device
Manage OrbieOS, software updates, and reset tools.
- The OrbieOS version shows the software currently running on DeskOrbie.
- Enable auto-updates lets DeskOrbie automatically check for new OrbieOS, then install an available update.
- Use Check & Install Update Now to manually check for and install an available update.
- Reset Settings to Default keeps Wi-Fi and timezone, but resets weather, calendar, display, reminder, and update settings.
- Factory Reset erases Wi-Fi and all saved settings, then restarts DeskOrbie into setup mode.

Clock Mode
This is the default screen. The number to the right of the clock shows the current day's date.
Follow icons around the screen that indicate what left, middle, right buttons do. You can check the weather, access Orbie, or go to the next page.
Focus Timer
The Focus Timer uses the icons at the bottom to show what the left, middle, and right buttons do.
- When the timer is stopped, press the middle button to cycle through preset times: 3, 5, 10, 25, 30, 45, 60, and 90 minutes.
- Press the left button to start a selected timer.
- While running, press the left button to pause.
- While paused, press the left button to clear the timer, or press the middle button to resume.
Calendar Upcoming Events
- Add a calendar link in DeskOrbie Settings.
- Events in yellow happen on a different day after today.
- The calendar shows upcoming events for the next 3 days.
- If no calendar is added, DeskOrbie shows "No calendar" and "Add in Settings."
Wellness and Calendar Reminders
- Wellness reminders display during daytime hours, from 9 AM through 7 PM, based on your Wellness setting.
- Choose 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 wellness reminders per hour in DeskOrbie Settings.
- Calendar reminders display the configured number of minutes before an event based on the Calendar setting.
- Calendar reminders can be dismissed with the bottom stop button.
Dynamic Night Mode
When Dynamic Night Mode is enabled, DeskOrbie follows the schedule you set in Display settings. It can turn the clock red before dim time, then switch to a darker red during the dim period. You can turn Dynamic Night Mode off or adjust the schedule from the Display card in DeskOrbie Settings.
Weather View
Press the weather button from Clock Mode or Calendar Mode to open Weather View. DeskOrbie loads weather for the location saved in Settings, then returns to the page you launched it from after about 8 seconds. If no location is set or the location cannot be found, it shows a shorter Settings prompt instead.
